Your Match Night

How the Evening Works:

On an event evening a pitch space will be allocated to your team and the opposing team.
All equipment such as goals, balls and bibs will be provided. All you have to provide are the players! Please make sure that your team mates are aware that no studs moulded or others are allowed on the pitch, please wear Astroturf boots or trainers with a suitable grip, please also wear shin guards. It is not a rule, but we would like to see players in matching kit (particularly tops) we feel that for teams to have matching jerseys, shorts and socks will add to the feel of a match evening and help your own team. In case of a colour clash bibs will be provided. Good deals for team kit can be found with online sportswear providers.

Your Match Format and Kick Off:

The first fixtures are on Thursday 5th June between 6- 10pm and thereafter every Thursday between 6-10pm. The games are played across the width of a full size pitch. Your pitch space is properly marked out and includes an area around the goal that an outfield player can not enter with the ball and the goalkeeper can not handle the ball outside the goal area, there will also be a centre spot for kick offs! Games are refereed, there is no offside and the goalkeeper must kick or head back passes. A full listing of the rules of play will be on the website before June 5th.

Via the website, your team will know your fixtures seven weeks ahead, what pitch number you are on and at what time your kick offs are. Your team will have a variety of start times throughout the seven week season, so as to give everybody a mix and it allows you to be able to plan around your match times. After a match evening, results will be entered onto the website and tables updated. A win scores 3 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0. At the end of a seven week season the top team in your league is promoted and the bottom team is relegated! NB if you finish bottom of the last league your team does not drop out of the league!

Example:

The first four matches of the evening will kick off at 18:05. Teams are asked to try to arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to kick off, the venue has changing facilities and small sized lockers. More detailed venue information will be on the website prior to June 5th. After one player, normally the captain, has signed players in, access to the pitch is available at 18:00 and a ball for each team is available for a warm up. The referee then kicks the game off at 18:05 and you play to 18:30, there is a five minute half time break and then the second half plays from 18:35 to 19:00. This format repeats itself for kick offs at 19:05, 20:05 and 21:05.

Price of Service:

This is £39:00 for each team each week. We believe this represents a fair and competitive price, as for an 8 player team, 6 + 2 substitutes (substitutions are unlimited) it equals £4:87 per player each week. Please Note:

When numbers allow and after a few league seasons we have plans for cup competitions where ‘knocked out’ teams can play on in further rounds. We will keep teams updated regarding this competition. At this early stage we welcome any comment or suggestions that you may have regarding format and all other areas of the leagues, thank you for your time.
